Kendall Blues Launch "Bikes For Kids" Initiative at Annual Charity Day

The Kendall Blues Rugby League Club is gearing up for its annual Charity Day on Saturday, 16 August, with the proud launch of a heartwarming new initiative: “Bikes For Kids.”

The club is partnering with Aussie Battlers in Laurieton and the Salvation Army in Port Macquarie to deliver brand-new bicycles to local families facing financial hardship, ensuring more kids have a happy Christmas this year.

"Many families in our community are doing it tough," said Vice President Troy Taylor. "We are incredibly proud and humbled to have this opportunity to support our neighbours and make a real difference for local kids."

A Double-Header of Local Footy Action

The Charity Day will feature a thrilling double-header of rugby league at the Kendall Showground. The action kicks off at 12:30pm with the Laurieton Stingrays taking on Long Flat, followed by the main event at 3:00pm: a fierce local derby between the Kendall Blues and the Comboyne Tigers.

The Kendall Blues extend a special thank you to the Laurieton Stingrays for generously relocating their home game to Kendall to support the charity event.

Major Auction and Celebration at The Royal Hotel Kew

Following the games, the festivities will continue at the Royal Hotel Kew. The evening will feature the club's famous charity auction, followed by a hot DJ to keep the celebrations going.

This year's auction boasts a spectacular lineup of items, including:

• Custom Surfboard: A one-of-a-kind surfboard featuring the Kendall Blues logo, valued at over $1,000.

• Custom Fire Pit: Expertly crafted by Michael from 5 Star Steel, featuring the Kendall Blues logo. 0435 868 153
